It isn't, the S4 has always been a more utilitarian, useful car and a little less raw. It looks incredible, and being somewhat efficient in the gas department along with having Quattro makes it a nice choice, IMO.

saw this on germancarscene yesterday and i think its an improvement ( w apologies to chris) and looks like a more polished design. i thought the coupe design would eventually extend onto the sedans, im glad it did.
hoping to test drive the S5 and S4 avant when i get back to CONUS. vicious looking cars, they are.
