Sometimes they run mergers on the triple motors. Always a pitty IMO. Like I said, 3 motors generally has more 'coolness factor' than twin so making the boat appear to have 2 when it really has 3 is fruitless.
Then again maybe it really has 2 motors and this is a case of mistaken identity but I doubt it for 2 reasons. One, the engine bay is very long so if it has 2 motors they would be staggered. Two, if the motors were staggard the exhaust outlets would more than likely be offset and not perfectly symmetrical.

Staggered twin engines often have symmetrically spaced outlets, as does my Cig.

Ohhh, I think i get it now- it's a 50 foot boat, so they named it "five-o" because that resembles "50".
