Boat Build Thread - Pics
#22
Update: She's done! Maiden voyage is set for this Saturday the 29th. I went to the Boostpower this past Saturday to get a few more pics and hear it run. The boat was on the dyno on thursday and also had the oil changed after about a 2 hour break-in. Overall, i'm very happy with the way it has come out. I'm sure once we get it out on the water it will be even better. Just needs to have the back seat put back in and it's ready to go. Here are some pics:

Haha thanks man. I hear ya on the #6, but I don't think it's suited for this boat. Maybe an NXT or X Power if the Bravo doesn't last. And as for the next one, I already have some ideas. The new 40' MTI 6 seater is at the top of a short list.

the '6 might be a little overkill, but I dont think I have read of anywhere offering the NXT without the 700SCi going with it, so the X might have to do, unless you consider switching to an IMCO. (but thats a whole new chapter altogether.
Either way you look at it, congrats.

It's not really that the 6 is overkill, it's just that the whole boat would need to be re-rigged to get it to work. The engine would have to be moved forward to accommodate the transmission. Also, from what i've heard these boats with a 6 drive are no fun to drive at anything less than 90 mph. You are right, as far as I know the NXT is not available separate from the 700sci...yet. Imco just released their new SCX drive which looks pretty promising, but i'm really waiting to see what the X-Power can handle. Good times ahead
