You are not far from the truth. There was another 50' Nor-Tech cat a few years back that had 4, 1500's... Extreme Exhibit. The guy could run the boat for 45 minutes longer than it took him to fuel it up.

I figured the boat itself was enough buzz and I didn't wanna add any unnecessary hype to the situation.

That is convention born of smaller single engine boats: A single rght hand rotation propeller imparts torque which tended to roll a boat to port. Driver weight was put on the starboard to counteract that torque. Boats like this may or may not follow convention.
