i was sitting in the park one year, across from the Fairmont, it was fun listening to them come up California and Taylor... (for the out-of-towners, they are gigantic hills, possibly 60 degrees or more...)

I haven't been to SF since i was about 9 and that's where i stayed at Xmas, i remember it had the largest Xmas tree i had ever seen!

I'm doing a small trip up there around the end of April, should be fun.

I'm seriously thinking about doing it again this year, especially since it starts from SF. I can do without this tho:

Plenty of mishaps and although i did drive it 3000 miles (Seattle-Houston) it didn't complete the rally b/c it didn't make it to Miami. Engine couldn't stay cool and the drive took us through the hottest parts of the country (death valley, arizona, new mexico, texas). Left it in Houston where a transporter picked it up, flew to New Orleans, flew to Miami, rented a Carrera 4 and drove to the last hotel
