I don't know if I missed the thread. I'm assuming I did as I can't imagine there isn't a big commotion going on about it. So please feel free to merge this one with one that already exists.

First and foremost I must apologize for being a bit MIA lately. I recently helped the dealership I work for acquire the Spyker franchise. I've been having some amazing experiences including hard core track time and travel in the past few weeks. I promised myself to do a write up to share with my fellow car enthusiasts, but at this point I might as well wait till after next week when they debut a new vehicle and have more news to share.

On to the juicy details...


I'll be in Pebble August 12-16, staying at the Hyatt. Jet Center Wednesday night, Bernardus Winery Thursday, RM Auction Thursday night, Quail Lodge Friday, Peter Hay Hill (Spyker Lounge) Saturday, Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Sunday. It's my first year out so I'm very excited. It would be nice to reconnect with old friends. I'll be there on behalf of Spyker, so look for their cars to find me. Also, anybody interested in some seat time, please get in touch ASAP

Aside from the new Aileron, is Spyker planning to roll out any other new models at Pebble Beach like Peking-to-Paris, perhaps?

Spyker will be debuting the Aileron Spyder! Drool. I saw photos in Atlanta a couple weeks ago. I want! So close, but not quite. The irony of this story for me is that I first fell in love with Spyker in 2001 when they first made their come back. Somehow in the meantime I've managed to make a career out of specialty cars and get to look at one on a daily basis now. Again, so close, but not quite. The goal is to have one in my garage in my name.

They will also have the Peking-to-Paris, I believe production version, which in photos looked slightly different than what we saw at prior shows. I believe the goal is to start production by year end. I kind of jumped in head first, very happily and am learning lots a long the way.

Thanks... good idea. Roadshow is coming out Friday - Sunday so we were looking for some evening events. Plus it would be fun to break bread with Robert again.

 

Had a great time with Spyker last year, they had quite a few cars, went for a spin in the C8 coupe. Beautiful pieces of machinery.
The Aileron looked great, would've loved to check out the production car this year.

 

Not sure if you guys can see this album due to my privacy settings, but here are photos from my trip to Atlanta and Atlanta Motor Speedway. When I put a blog together I'll upload photos so everyone can view. I'll have some videos too. Just need to figure out how to use iMovie.
