There are two bills in the NY legislature, specifically S957 and S3452. The former proposes to ban laser jammers, and the latter creates "aggravated reckless driving", a felony, under extremely dubious circumstances. Much of this law is similar to the draconian nonsense in Virginia.

Now might be a good time to contact your representatives, which are listed in the bills in question, and voice your concern about the need for nonsensical legislation of this type.

 

I thought laser jammers were already illegal.
