Any advices on the suzuki 650 SV S

So I'm planing to buy my first bike, well not exactly me because I'd buy the first half now and my father would lend me the other half for the moment.

My budget doesn't matter because I don't think the value of the bike is the same here and there (3500 euros max). But are there anything I need to know about the bike about fiability, week points ...

I'm choosing this bike because it's a V twin which is more pleasant because I'll have the bike restricted in 34hp for 2 years.
Nonetheless the bikes are oftenly modified our riced out...
Ty for you responses !

I don't have any experience with an SV, but I don't think I have ever heard anything negative about them. I'm sure there is an SV forum that may be very helpful.

SV are great first or returning rider bikes. You can ride across the country on one, or carve canyons and they are pretty predictable in power delivery.

Quite possibly the stupidest choice on the planet short of a 1 liter bike for someone just getting into bikes. Hell any modern 600 is just drop dead a stupid choice for a new rider.

Is this the bike section's version of the "Veyron /thread" response ?

I'm already looking on SV forums, I just want to gather as much information as possible to make the most clever choice.

I have never ridden a SV but hear they are great bikes. My dad has a VStrom 650, which I believe is very similar.
If the SV has damping rod forks like the VStrom, I would recommend Race Tech Gold Valve Cartridge Emulators and correct springs if you want vastly improved ride. Ride it first though.
There is someone at my school that has one, it sounds great. Not sure what pipe he has.

no, a R1 or CBR1000 or 1198 Ducati would be the stupidest choice for the first whip. LOL

I've owned the SV650S as my second bike. It was the 2007 model. Very easy bike to drive. Perfect for a first bike is my opinion. Easy to drive and if you want, its fast!
