Man, I hope he's OK. I'm actually shocked that those people had the decency to help lift the car off the guy. Seems like most people nowadays would just pull out their cell phones and record a video of the guy burning alive.

Kinda like the guy who took the video...

One thing that I rarely speak about was what happened at the scene of my motorcycle accident.
After I had fallen down nearly 100 feet and laid there in my own blood, a small crowd of about 10 people gathered at the edge of the drop off and just stared down at me. I could hear them talking but they were not doing anything to help.
Then I heard a voice above the others scream "what are you all just standing there for, let's go help the guy!" Then I saw a somewhat scruffy man - to be honest, he looked homeless - standing over me. He was putting pressure on my wounds and telling me I was going to be alright (he was a bad liar though
).
He called 911 and then asked me for my number and dialed my wife. He held the phone up to my ear so that I could speak with her.
He stayed with me until the helicopter came and took me away. I never saw him again.
I have tried to find out who he was, track him down and thank him but I have never been able to find him. He very well may have been a homeless man living underneath the bridge that I was about to cross.
Regardless, he pretty much saved my life. He acted when others just stood there. I like to think that I would do the same but am not sure I would be brave enough.
This video made me think of that. Good for those people.
