It almost looks like someone took one of those shitty touch up paint brushes to it...
Unless you fill your tank with brake fluid, I don't see the occasional drip of fuel causing the paint to run like that.

Whatever it is, it's not right. Back to the dealer for you I'm afraid.
That's not caused by fuel, that's touchup paint.
If you plan on keeping this bike forever, perhaps upgrade to the alum tank that won't bloat over time like the plastic one does.

Touchup paint. You can splash fuel all over the stock base/clear paint without issue. They put a fuel-specific hardener in the clear on the tank for exactly that reason. I've had a few errant dribbles on my 916 over the years, but that paint is over a decade old and still looks brand new.
