I've been hearing how superbikes are unbearable on the road ... nonsense.
Went for a day trip to the White Mountains. Some roads were still closed as you can see in the vid, it was a bit chilly in the evening, but overall an awesome day ... and 965km without a hiccup. Other than a quickly fixed flat tire.
Gotta say, it's hard to beat the fun of tight sweepers and the bellowing snarl of twin ... dayum. I love this thing.

I'm actually thinking of riding out west over the summer vacation. But cross country trip? That sounds interesting. continental US easternmost to westernmost points yes? Then ride down PCH to SoCal? I haven't already looked into this at all ...

What's your plan about the midwest though? Not sure I like the idea of 3-4 big days of straight corn field slab ... I hate myself for considering trailering to Colorado and "start" from there (that's clearly not a cross-country trip anymore at that point).
Can't be beat.

Riding at dusk is amazing. Every. Single. Time. Golden colors, hills turn into soft shadowy lumps, rivers glowing with sunset reflections, the smell of a summer evening ...

You talked me into it. I will now buy a bike. I will now learn how not to fall and lose my skin. I am sorry, I am inviting myself across the country with you guys.

I"m not sure if the 748 shares anything with the 1098 but my friends 748 is a dream to ride! So comfortable and manuverable without being overly twitchy at all. On top of that the sound of it is pure V rumble madness!
