Painting the wheels ... undecided on color.

Painting the wheels ... undecided on color.
I'm looking at repainting the wheels of the 1098. Powdercoating, actually.
I don't really like the oem dull black wheels ... and I need to do something to keep myself busy over the winter. And not keen on forking out 2-3-4k for forged/magnesium/cf wheels.
I've narrowed it down to white or gold.
White would be ... well ... white. As glossy as possible. Can't mess up the color, cheaper too. Also a fair bit flashier, borderline pimp-my-ride, and would require white accents here and there on the bike.
Inspiration? These bikes.
This just blows me away. Looks amazing. Period. White body instead of red, though.
This is another example of white wheels on red body. There's quite a bit too much ricey shit, but the contrast white wheels, black tires and red body with white accents is interesting.
This is cleaner (albeit mag rims). And damn nice.
The other option is gold. First problem with gold is that there are a million hues and saturations to it, and it's VERY easy to end up with something shitty. Especially with powdercoating, even with sample plates, it's tough to get a clear picture.
What kind of gold would I be going for? This kind. It's actually more bronze or nickel color than gold.
This is tits. Not flashy, but so clean.
Same here. Really classy.
This is a slightly different color, but you get the idea of the intensity of the "gold".
Realy classy and much better than black, but definitely not much flash. I don't dislike that.
However, I could post more than one example where the final result is dull, brownish and overall horrible. That's my #1 fear. I don't want to end with Marchesini Diarrhea rims.
Tough decisions ahead ...

Man, I was gonna say white looks the bomb, but the gold is pure WIN!!! It's funny, I was thinking of painting my Lotus' Gold wheels since I was thinking they looked dated, but based on those pics, I think I'll leave my HRE's gold. Or change it lightly to the bronze/nickel look you've shown.
