Ducati Diavel in Diamond Black

PRESS RELEASE:
DUCATI DIAVEL IN DIAMOND BLACK
Unveiled by Ducati at the Milan International Motorcycle Show last month, the innovative new Ducati Diavel will now also roll out in a stunning diamond black colour scheme following huge interest from enthusiastic show visitors.
Having grabbed global attention at the show, the Italian manufacturer collected instant feed-back from thousands of passionate motorcyclists viewing the bike for the first time and now respond immediately with an update to the Diavel colour options.
While the Diavel Carbon in "red carbon" (gloss red over matte carbon weave) with red frame and "black carbon" (both gloss and matte carbon weave) with black frame, was overwhelmingly loved alongside the Diavel in traditional Ducati Red, Ducati's response now replaces the originally presented pearl white with a brand new diamond black with black frame. The new scheme will be further enhanced with black anodised headlamp body and lateral air intakes. The new colour has already been introduced to production and will be available alongside the entire Diavel range in February next year.

That monstrosity is a disgrace to Ducati's decades of sporting credentials or innovation.
A heavy useless chunk of plastic that brings nothing new, only to lure HD owners into a false sense of exotica for their sunday trip to Starbucks.
And it'll sell like hotcakes, because it's all a perfect corporate marketing product.

Once upon a time, I might have hated that bike. But after years of owning Ducati's and Aprilia's; and being ready for the next thing in my riding lifetime, this is it.
I've ridden bikes my entire life. It is the one thing I've done longer than martial arts. I'd ridden dirt bikes until 92, then got my first crotch rocket, a ZX7R; and stayed with inlines until about 98. After that, it was Italian V's until 08. I'm over crotch rockets, and there are no cruisers, out there that excite me other than this one.
I'd love to have this, or the multistrada. And really nothing else.
