*GoPro content* Ducati Hypermotard

I got the GoPro recently from Ted @ EVS. Without going into boring details, they are absolutely top notch to deal with, and definitely a great asset to this community! Huge props guys!

So without further adieu, here's a quick onboard GoPro vid of me on a friend's Hypermotard. I debated posting this or not because it's nothing more than filming for 10min and trimming the most boring bits ... but what the heck. Plus, weather has been crappy so I haven't had the chance to get much more footage lately.

I rode his bike last fall and was rather unimpressed. I loved the ergos, but the engine was a bit lackluster, rough under 3-4k rpm and ran out of steam quickly on top.
Fast forward winter, Zard headers, Termi 2-2, DucShop intake (hence the nice sound), ecu and a bunch of bling.
His bike is seriously transformed ... so much so I feel it will be hard to resist getting one for myself!

Yes, the cam was aimed too high, and I can't get Youtube compression to not murder the quality (even in 1080 ... what comes out of the GoPro is crystal clear and this is "meh"), and the road wasn't a very twisty one ... but hey. Better stuff next time.

Enjoy!

I will also try different audio configurations, but I was pleasantly surprised with the sound (just the GoPro and waterproof door, just under the helmet chinbar)

PS - if you hear some high pitched sounds here and there, that's me giggling like a little girl.

Pretty cool stuff. The GoPro is a sweet little setup. Have you tried experimenting with different mount loactions yet? You can get some pretty insane shots of the suspenion working.

vimeo doesn't compress as much. Maybe give it a try.

Yeah we did ...

Front fender is hilariously bad thanks to our bumpy roads. It's really so bad you just can't help but LOL. I will try it again on smoother roads though.

We went for a shifter view shot (clamped to the frame). Very good result, no vibration at all ... but I missed the shifter in the shot and all you see is a knee and a foot.

rear mounted on the tail is pretty good, the guy behind must be real close though.

Chest mounted is good, but I feel helmet mounted is smoother.

I still have to try some different locations (including shocks and wheel views) ... but the weather's been shit for weeks. Hell it's going to snow tomorrow ...
