Wow... So sorry for your loss Zorro. RIP, and Prayers for the Family. I know a couple guys who've gone the same way... Dirt or Street, there's no reason to not wear one.

Sorry to hear, RIP. I really don't understand states that allow bike riders to NOT wear a helmet; or why people who live in those states don't wear one in the first place. I've commented on it EVERY time i see a bike rider without one.

when i was little and had an ATV, my father made me wear a helmut all the time. i never liked it but did. looking back, sometimes your parents know what they're talking about.

i'm sorry to hear about your friend...

It is always sad to hear this...

But it is not only about wearing a helmet
The helmet must fit correctly, if not replace it!!!
If you drop a helmet most likely its performance has been compromised, replace it!!!
After some time even if it looks ok the helmet maybe structurally unsafe, replace it!!!

May your friend rest in peace

Agreed, I am sorry for the loss. It's amazing to me that herein Wisconsin 99% of the Harley people will go out drinking and never wear helmets. Tragic...
