For comparison, some twenty-nine years ago on May 29 1983 a young German driver named Stefan Bellof climbed out of his 620hp Porsche 956 after posting a lap time of 6:11 at Nurburgring. That's right -- 6:11. So, three decades of technology later, a race tuned Dodge Viper turning a 7:03 lap time doesn't seem, well, all that impressive. Just sayin'...

Yes, but performance for the price was his point. How many of these could you buy for the price of 1 Zonda R? Is it the best time ever? No. Is it impressive? Yes.
