Stryker is the name of the 2013 SRT Viper logo

Each new generation of the Viper sports car comes with a new interpretation of the snake logo. Previous logos were named "Sneaky Pete" and "Fangs". "Stryker" follows in the theme with a stylized viper's head, though the newest is the meanest-looking yet. As these sketches reveal, it's born of the snake itself, but with a healthy dose of artistic interpretation.

More at the New York Auto Show in April.

 

The first Viper was called "Sneaky Pete?" LOL... Looking back on it, "Sneaky Pete" even has the Gieco gecko look lol.

I love the new emblem.

Lol want to know the big secret about ALL the autoblogs? They all scan forums for info then write little synopses. They all do it cuz its easier then doing real journalism. It pisses me off.

To be honest it doesn't bother me that people bring stuff from other sites, it just makes it that much easier for me to know anything car related.

I just come here to TS, get all my news and dont have to go to other blogs or whatever and look through most of the worthless shit they have.

Excuse the rant but, although cool, does anybody else see this logo redesign as completely redundant? I'll admit it might not be much, but it's "small" expenses on stuff like this that cripples manufacturers' budgets. I only gripe about this, since I've driven the newest Viper, and quite frankly, wasn't blown away. Yeah great engine, fantastic acceleration, terrible ergonomics and build quality. All this in a car that was on the brink of extinction, much in part due to financial limitations of the parent company. Concentrate on actually building a high quality product, rather than revamping your logo unnecessarily. Rant, complete.
