2015 Ford Mustang Concept initial information and sketches

Marking Ford’s 50th anniversary, the 2015 Ford Mustang is expected to come with a new design, improved performance and better fuel economy. This car is expected to be revealed at the 2014 New York Motor Show, and to go on sale in the same year.

The 2005 Ford mustang did a good job in redefining the look of the car, but that design is getting old. So it's time to redefine the look of the car once again.

There will be a choice between a 3.7-liter V6 and a 5.0-liter V8. If these engines will produce the same power as thw actual Mustang, the V6 would deliver 268 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque, and the V8 wiould deliver 365 horsepower and 335 lb ft of torque. If the V8 gets direct fuel injection, these numbers will be higher. It could be also a Ford’s EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Fuel consumption will be between 24 mpg and 30 mpg.

Price information hasn’t been released yet, but it will probably go between $22,000 and $40,000.

I kind of doubt it, given that those numbers are significantly below the current generation of engines, and that's not how you sell cars.

First pic is like the '70 Mach 1. Could be very interesting. Simba are you a Ford fan in general?

It's the same car, but the first one seems to be the GT500 version and the second one the normal GT.
