This is the 2014 Chevy Corvette

All of Gawker media is pathetic, liberal drivel. That aside, the design appears to be an attempt from a car mag, which generally is not close. The hood vent is straight from the ZL1, the rear side marker from the GTR and the bottom side brake scoops have a ridiculous shape. If it is the actual design, then hopefully the final product looks better in person as the proportions are off. Cars are difficult to capture in a drawing.
A flagship such as the vette should have bold, striking design cues that carry the company's design ethos throughout the coming years. It should not carry existing style cues that are already years old considering the timeframe from
design to production (i.e. Camaro tailights).

So the half-ass site finally worked for me. What a terrible rendering. Where do I begin? The front end is taken from Lotus. Roofline, headlights, and side brake ducts are directly from the 599. Mirrors look EXACTLY like the ones on the Camaro. The taillights and rear spoiler are also exactly the same as the ones on the Camaro. Actually, the whole rear-end looks like a Camaro. Boxy.
GM doesn't want us to see these because it looks like my dog designed them. One thing about Chevy, and the Corvette in particular, is anything on the car is functional. Brake duct openings are used to cool brakes, not look "cool" What is up with the "vent" by the rear deckled? What does that do? Nothing. So it wouldn't be there. General Motors has also stated that there'll likely not be a C7 ZR1. Also, no manufacturer would unveil a flagship variant along with the base model.
Here's a more reputable article. Nice try Jalopnik.

These aren't photos, but this is absolutely the next-generation Chevy Corvette in ZR1 trim. GM so doesn't want you to see these.
