Shelby GT500 Whipple 2.9L S/C project.

It's seems weird when 540hp does not cut the mustard as they say, in this case this is my friend who think his back then Stock Shelby doesnt make him really scared driving it 10/10 with the traction control system off. Today the case is totally different, he doesnt have the guts to reach 5cm close to the traction button ( ).

Anyways he has owned this car for nearly two years and on the first couple of months he was with me for coffee and brought up the idea of modifying the car with a Programmer, pulley and air intake systems through Lethal-Performance and as bad influence as I am I convinced him to just skip it and get a Whipple 2.9L S/C System, Air-Intake System, 3.77 Diff, lower control arms (reduce wheel hop), Bassani Longtube headers, Offroad X pipe and Mufflers. Let me just tell you how scary fast the car is with traction control off as we we leaving the fuel station we've managed to get sideways till 4th gear around 200kmh.

The car has laid down 681rwhp and all modification were done in SMS design and performance in Bahrain.

We are very happy with the results.

Revving, this is one of the loudest cars I've ever heard just needs camshafts for the icing on the cake.

This car is totally a sleeper, some people would fall for it just to have an exhaust system.

By the way this car is my friends daily driver, nice to have 750hp to the crank for a daily car.

It is still a work in progress, more modifications coming soon.

I'm normally not for the sleeper look, but goddamn if there was ever something to pull it off, it would be this. Beautiful.

Besides, there's only so much you can do to a GT500 that can make it look like the opposite of a sleeper anyway.

Your friend's GT500 is just pure badassness on 4 wheels.

Do you have any videos of in car pulls? Would love to see and hear it go through the gears...or just lay rubber through them...

Yep, he is no longer living in Bahrain

I'm sure someone jinxed it, it has CEL light on throttle body issue.
