The base Corvette in 2005 did it in 7:59.

The 2012 Carrera S did the deed in 7:40. No use even comparing them. Two completely different cars. The 991 Carrera S weighs 3113lbs and makes 400hp. The ZL1 weighs about 3750lbs and makes 580hp.

I don't think there is a base C6 time. But a 2005 Z06 did it in 7:42.9.
