Because its a hot rodders world. Hot Rods and Customs is all about doing something different. There are thousands of Small Blocks and Big Blocks in Camaros, been done for decades. Why not change it up and put a legendary motor from another car. This car is not for someone looking for an original car.
If things like this aren't done you wouldn't have a lot of iconic cars, such as the Shelby Cobra! He took an Import and put a domestic motor in it. That car is one of the rarest and most valuable cars today.
Taking the best products to make this best combination to us isn't a bad thing. But to purists they won't like it, thats fine we don't expect everyone to agree.

Only the owner knows...
AC Cobra is one of a few cars that can get away with it, IMO Carol Shelby saved AC Cars company ass by providing them with the V8, who knows where they would end up otherwise... Its hard to picture that car with anything but V8, it has that distinct muscle car look. I tried to stay away from this thread, as you know my look on it. But just wanted to say 2JZ is a great engine by all means, sounds good... but not in that body. Also I think interior looks a little too modern for it as well.

I respect everyones opinion, but I like to give mine as well.
The best way for me to put it is this. People might say its a Japanese product you are putting in a Domestic car.
However real world cars are made with mixed up parts from all around the world, but nobody says anything about it. Wheels on Bentleys are made in Japan, A/C Compressors in Domestic cars are from Japan. Aftermarket wheels we put on high end European cars are from China, Korea and the U.S..
Most of the aftermarket parts to restore muscle cars are from Taiwan! But everyone buys them anyways, nobody says anything about that.
Some Italian cars use German parts, in fact the Gallardo uses a lot of German parts. It has German engine inside a Italian designed car. But it doesn't get bad talk about it. The engine came out of a Audi Sedan.
The Custom Car market is all about doing custom work, and thats what we do. The National Custom Car Association recognized our work and awarded us Four 1st Place Trophies, Best Engineer Car, Best Theme Car, Best Engine Display and Best Muscle Car.
Again, everyone has an opinion on how a car should be built. Thats what makes everyone unique and thats cool! Thanks for looking!
