Thanks for the comments. While I can appreciate big wheels as am currently running 19's on my E46 M3, the original muscle cars were all running significantly smaller wheel sizes and that is the look I prefer.

The design of the wheels is not be my first choice either but they are $215 a wheel. There are no other options I have found that are wide 18's that fit a Challenger... outside of $900 a pop custom forged wheels.

Amazing how the Viper can run with larger wheels! The car is not a "handling" machine, it's a straight line beast! Don't ruin it's beauty on the outside... Spend the money on the cheap plastic inside!

I really like these wheels as well, however they don't offer them any wider than 18x9 which wont work for 295, 305 or 315 width rear tires as I am shooting for.

Challengers need 20's imo. The car itself is pretty large and as others have said, 18's will just look stupid.

A Challenger with 20's will have quite a good bit of rubber, much more than necessary for normal use on the road.

Edit:

Also, +1 on the pic POWERHOUSE posted. Good size and style for the Challenger.

Also, very interesting stable you've got there. Eclectic taste

I appreciate all the comments, still going with the 18's however.

The Plum Challenger Pictured above appears to be running 22 inch Viper Replicas. While I would never consider up-sizing from 20's, I accept that it is a different look one may be going for. 20's look much better than 22's on a Challenger in my opinion.

There is something about a big muscle car with the old school look of big nasty tires with meaty sidewalls that is just so right. Plus there is always the lower rotational mass as well as price tag on the wheels and tires themselves.

I updated my signature to more accurately reflect my car collection. I can't take credit for the 2 Chevy's as they were both imparted to me by relatives in the recent past. The Impala is more my style of the two Chevy's hence it isn't up for sale like the Vette.
