HRE is involved in a few different motorsports programs and one of the latest is with a NASA multi-championship driver, Chris Cobetto. His new project is a 2011 5.0 Mustang being built by Performance Autosport in Richmond, VA.

HRE has agreed to sponsor the car with a set of new competition spec forged alloy wheels, and we are also going to show what goes into the construction of a brand new NASA road race car – starting with a bone stock 2011 Mustang and ending with the fully prepped Saleen race car hitting the track for the first time.

Great to see you as well DJ. I was in and out of availability this last weekend. This car is going to be a beast when it is done.

Can't wait.

 

Would have been more interesting if they tried to spec a different car, like a Challenger. Mustangs have been done to death. Easy route if you ask me

 

I cant wait to see the finished product. the car looks clean, but its begging for a makeover.

 

Will look very nice dropped on a set of HRE's
