Here's a video of the Shelby Code Red concept, a one-of-a-kind creation of Shelby American in partnership with Nelson Racing Engines. The video is a production of Nelson Racing Engines, which we've been a little slow to publish. But here it is in case you missed it last month when the car debuted in SEMA.

The car features a twin-turbocharged version of Ford's 5.4-liter engine that produces a total of 1,000 bhp (746 kW). It is fitted with Shelby Super Snake wheels by Alcoa in 9 x 20-inches at the front and 11 x 20-inches at the rear.

Top speed is 200 mph or 322 km/h.

I'm curious about the weight. Nevertheless, 1000 hp looks epic even on paper, not to mention the sound!

 

What a glorious sound! I've been amazed by all of NRE's creations since I found out about them, they seem to do some very very high quality builds.

 

NRE is doing some really impressive stuff.
