A friend of mine was at Nurburgring with the Matech team as a bunch of us FORD GT guys had sponsored them for Le Mans... they mentioned the possibility of selling the prototype car to a collector who had been bugging them for it at which time he called me up and wondered if I would be interested....
I talked to them and very quickly we came to terms
The only reason the car was even available is that the rules for their classes have changed again and they are raising capital for the R&D and changes to the new cars...
pretty incredible opportunity!
