So, in the UK, your average person equates Porsche 911 ownership with 'compensation'.

Its jealousy in reality, but a Prius driving beige wearing non car aficionado will say that a 911 owner has a small dick.

The Canadian due at work told me the same attitude exists with Americans and Corvettes, is this true?

Its going to be hard to adjust to the American mindset, I can tell already...

American mindset is - "The Bigger the Car, the smaller the dick"
at least that's the mindset for middle America.

 

IMO I'd judge a //M328i or an AMG E350 before corvette owner.

Yeah, Corvettes are all good here as far as I can tell. In the US, small dicks = Hummers, Ford Excursions, etc. But to clarify further, Hummers and such that are covered in mud and dirt = big dick. Clean Hummer that's never seen dirt = small dick.

It's more of an issue with a midlife crisis, to be honest. Particularly if it's a red ragtop.

 

So really, I should be looking at how many 50 year old bald dudes own Corvettes to get a good idea of how much of a mid life crisis machine it is
