2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon
#12
GM is officially debuting the car with an appearance in a little over a week at Sebring. This would be the reason for few details.
One of the pieces I am interested in is the reports about the ZR1 chassis. I am hoping this doesn't mean they are using steel in place of the aluminum Z06 equipment.
As far as automakers sharing parts among vehicles; this isn't a "Big 3" phenomenon. Maseratis have shared Ferrari parts; Aston Martin has shared Volvo pieces; suppliers have shared packaged pieces with more than one maker (ex: Enzo brakes showing up on ZR1); etc.
