I am sitting here studying for a test and a show came on Speed TV with a hill climb at Loveland Pass in Colorado where the new Lincoln MKS with a TT V6 is racing a Maserati Quatroporte, Mercedes E550, BMW 550 Sport Pack, and Jaguar XF. Automobile and MotorTrend magazines got rod Millen to drive these cars in this hill climb ending at the Continental Divide with is over 12,000ft.

Now here is my question, is this a fair comparison? The man point was how would the new Lincoln MKS with a TT V6 from the Taurus SHO compete against teh top European luxury sedans. The program cited the extra horsepower that the V8 sedans have however I have a problem with this. It would seem that a TT engine would be much less affected by altitude than an NA engine. This is because a TT engine produces X amount of boost no matter the altitude while a NA engine can only use the much thinner air.

Is this a valid argument that the TT car had a definite advantage over the NA cars? I will let you guys know how the show ends and wish me luck on my test.
