Post Dodge Challenger #43 Sold at Auction

The Dodge Challenger has been a hot commodity on the auction block, and Challenger #43 was no exception. Recently sold on eBay for $228,143.43, the special 2008 Challenger SRT8 is painted B5 blue to honor racing legend Richard Petty. The winner also receives two VIP passes to the 2008 Dodge Challenger 500 NASCAR race at Darlington Raceway, a meet-and-greet session with Kyle Petty, roundtrip airfare and lodging for two, and a Dodge Motorsports prize pack delivered at the Dodge Challenger 500 NASCAR race.

All proceeds will benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children with chronic illness, founded by Kyle Petty, in honor of his late son, Adam.

2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8’s come equipped with a five speed automatic and a 6.1L HEMI engine that produces 425hp and 420 ft-lbs of torque. Pricing for a regular Challenger SRT8 starts at $37,995 and a total of 6,400 will be produced this year.

Yep, one of the few price gouging tactics I approve of.

Everybody wins.
