Any Mustang guys ever see a complete CAI comparo to determine the performance King?

I've got the Ford Racing / Whipple (HO-- intercooled) blower on my Mustang. It's dead reliable on stock internals, puts ~500 to the wheels, and the stock trans is perfectly happy.
GT500's are nothing to write home about. You can build a much better car using Roush / Ford Racing / etc parts for a lot less moolah.

The loss of low-end torque could be from a poor tune, but I'll ask around to see if there's another cause.

Yeah, but to do it right including engine internals, transmission, you're looking at up into the range where it'd make a whole lot more sense to just buy a GT500. Then, with the blower swap for that car for half the price of the GT blower, you're putting down 700+.
I just want to do a little something on the cheap and call it done. Small power increase, but inexpensive enough not to be a dumb move. Believe me, the first thing I thought about was a blower, but the GT500's are coming down into a really nice price range. This is kinda like the situation where people upgrade the crap out of their Carrera but still don't have a GT3.

Ford Racing HO blower (10 psi, intercooled), Ford Racing shorty headers, Roush mufflers. ~515 rwhp @ 6k, ~490 rwtq @ 4300.
IMO, more than 600whp on the car is silly without a watts or 5-link rear setup, coilovers, and BIG brakes.
Stock engine, trans, clutch. Runs like a champ. I wrung it out for 6+ hours at a track event with zero issues on pump gas.
Also definitely do something with the suspension. I have Tein SS coilovers with Steeda front upper mounts. Keeps it stuck pretty well with the extra power.
Also have the Roush aero kit, short shifter (awesome), track pak wheels, RaceLogic traction, Wilwood 6-pot brakes, various other goodies.

Dees-a one? Roush Mustang Short Throw Shifter (05-09 GT) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!
Have you compared it to the one I have? Wonder why people like mine. I think it's probably great for drag racers, but man, as a daily, it's just balky.

Haven't tried the one you have, but I have tried the Steeda and the Ford Racing / SVT shifter and didn't like them as much as the Roush.
