20 years since auto industry invented HID (Xenon) lights but US car makers are still stubborn on using halogen systems on their cars. Degrades the car sooo badly and shows it sooo low-tech that they don't even realize.. and also proves the fact that US car industry is still a dinosaur !
It might seem like an insignificant detail but actually tells a lot about the brand !
But, its not all bad news, at least they finally decided to paint the side mirrors body color rather than leaving plastic..

But GM does use HID's on many of their cars.

^^^When was the last time you saw a new car presented with halogen lights other than US cars ? Even the tiniest eco hatch's from europe and japon have HID's . If not standard equip, at least as an option.
It is a major give away of the car underneath if you ask me.
