Had a Ferrari Gathering at the house today...
Ferrari Gathering at the house today
Hope you guys are all well ! Been a bit incognito recently due to work and going back and forth to Toronto to see my dad....don't know where the summer went
Had a chance to enjoy the passion today though as we hosted the Ferrari Club for lunch. Day started out bright and earlier for a gathering watching the Italian Grand Prix live. The cars then organized for a scenic drive through the TN countryside and hills, going through Leipers Fork and down the Natchez Parkway. We ended up at the house at noon and had an Italian lunch (of course) and checked out each others rides...great day of kids folks just dropping by and enjoying the enthusiasm and passion.
When this date originally came up I initially had reservations about doing this on 9/11 out of respect for the solemn nature of the day. But the thought occurred to me that the best way to acknowledge the day would be do spend it with friends and celebrate the freedoms that we cherish and hold dear. Terrorists caused great loss and consternation that tragic day, but they will never win the war to change this nations ideals and principles.
Special thanks to Mike Gillespie, President of the FCA Tennessee Region for all of his organizing efforts, just a tremendous guy !
Enjoy the pics

Cars gathered on the lawn, had lunch and Mike raffled off a bunch of great door prizes. We even had a guy take a red-eye flight from San Francisco just to be back in time for this drive and get together...he got a bottle of Visine for his red-eye exploits
gotta show the CGT some love...even though it was parked off to the side today
Special thanks to all of the Ferrari club members and dear friends that made it over today...really enjoyed the camraderie and the drive was fantastic. Hung out after lunch watching the Senna movie in the theater (an italian language version DVD but it didnt matter )
