I am in the initial stages of making my first Ferrari purchase. I have always wanted to own a Testarossa. I have been looking at a few cars in the 89-92 range and was hoping that some of you that are more experienced with these cars could answer a few questions for me:

1. Is there a certain year for the Testarossa that was known to be a more reliable car as far as engine and overall mechanics?

2. I am looking for a car with mileage under 20k...is this really an issue I need to be concerned about?

3. What kind of maintenance expenses should I be aware of?

4. Engine out service...tell me more?

5. Anything else I should be aware of?

DO NOT UNDER AND CIRCUMSTANCES buy a Testerossa without having a PPI done first. That will solve almost all of your worries on a good well sorted car.

 

Have you driven a Testarossa before? They're not exactly thrilling...

Alzilla.....what would some alternatives that you would go with that would be in that same price range? The thing is that I really love the body styling of the Testarossa.
