they are the next gen product. Closer to the E4c tech wise.
I haven't listened to these (hence brand new)

here is a review:
Time marches on, and Shure’s latest offering in mid-priced ear-canal headphones shows a level of technological prowess and market understanding that can only signal the end of the beginning for ear-canal headphones. These little SE310s are evidence that the market for very small, high-performance headphones is real and is beginning to deliver a level of across-the-board performance that makes for a popular and long-lived category of product. Too much weight for one little pair of cans that you could wrap your fist around to bear? Possibly, but we just can’t get past the fact that the SE310 is pretty much the perfect balance of everything we’ve hoped for in a mid-priced ear canal headphone for the past 15 years. Believe us, your iPod is lonely for a pair of SE310s.

sheynk,
Did you unload these things yet?
If not, I'm curious...
I just read the other thread and I've learned that I'm very ignorant on the topic... I have set of something (can't remember which mfg) that I got from Best Buy for $100 and change.
What sets these apart when listening to music via iPod? And then what sets the higher end sets apart from these? If these are "mid-range".
