4 days in Chicago with wifey and no kids!

Already have a few places to eat planned out and some sight seeing. But what do you guys recommend.

Here are some recommendations from a friend:

restaurants are:

- Carmine’s (Italian) and Tavern on Rush (steak/seafood) which are both about 3-blocks north of your hotel. It’s a nice, open, upscale area so sitting outside is enjoyable even for lunch.
- JAPONAIS RESTAURANT 600 W. Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60610 Phone: 312.822.9600
- Blackbird (Blackbird) 619 W Randolph, Chicago, IL 60661 312.715.0708
- Signature Room at the top of the Hancock Building (amazing views)
- City is famous for Chicago-style pizzas and steakhouses (lot of great options)
- Sunda (Pan-Asian) (Sunda New Asian | Chicago), went there recently for business and really enjoyed it

Activities:

- Architectural tour on the Chicago river or dinner cruise on Lake Michigan (Chicago Cruises - Tours and Sightseeing Activities in Illinois)
- Observation deck at top of Hancock building (2 blocks from your hotel) or Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower)
- Walk around Navy Pier
- Walk around Millennium Park
- Aquarium is good and right on the lakefront
- Lots of Museums (Science and Industry my favorite, Field Museum is also great)
- Art Institute of Chicago (combine with visit to Millennium Park)

Thanks

Segway tours are pretty nice. Highly recommended. Also, dinner at Harry carrey, gibsons for steaks.

Go to Purple Pig! Easier to get in late lunch / early dinner. But, get on the list and have a drink nearby - they will call you.

Thanks everyone for the tips. We had a great time, had very little expectations and they were far exceeded. Such a great city, amazing beauty, and food that gave me and additional 3 inches on my gut. I ate a whole medium pizza myself:whistle, on two separate occasions. Had one at Giordano's and one at East Gino's. Definitley going to visit again but this time with the kids.
One day when I am rich enough, I hope to buy a condo in downtown Chicago.

Gino's East is awesome! My parents first date was there, so it's cool to visit there table and see where they wrote there names... Glad you enjoyed the trip!
