Al Hamra Tower Kuwait- Build it Bigger

Al-Hamra Tower Kuwait,

The Al Hamra Tower is a supertall skyscraper currently under construction in downtown Kuwait City, Kuwait. Designed by architectural firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the tower will become the tallest building in Kuwait on completion in 2011at 412 m (1,352 ft). It will also be the tallest sculpted tower in the world.

The tower will include 98,000 m2 (1,050,000 sq ft) of commercial and office space. The building will connect to a five-storey retail mall which totals 23,000 m2 (250,000 sq ft) of retail space and will include an integrated theater complex and an 11-storey carpark. The tower itself will be built on an 18,000 m2 (190,000 sq ft) construction site.

The Al Hamra Tower will have over 70 floors of office space, a rooftop restaurant and a spa. The shopping centre will include a 10-screen cinema complex which will also have IMAX theaters.

Al-Ahmadiah is the construction company, costing 180 million KD

I dont trust SOM at all...
I have see them work in Bahrain, UAE, and Qatar... the cost should probably be 40% less

I guess Dubai are pretty pissed off now haha!

why do we need all these towers, they will be useless in a couple of years when the work from home trend accelerates and become the norm.
