Helmets ?? Help

Helmets ?? Help
Hey guys, there is a CRC autocross thing on friday I would like to participate, but I would need a helmet. The thing is I'm totally clueless about this, where do you get them from? are there any specs? how much do they cost? any info would much appreciated

are you buying from Bahrain or KSA?
if you're buying from Bahrain I would suggest you go to Baljeek in Sihla (Kawasaki showroom) ad take a look at the modular AGV's they will cost somewhere around BD80 (SR800), look good and can be used as full face or open face, in car or for bike.

is that how much you value your head? might as well go ahead and use a paper bag.
in auto cross parking lot event the chances of you hurting your self are very minimal, but if you are going to buy a helmet to use for racing, remember that its there for protection not to pass inspection.
I honestly don't know where you can get a 20 dinar helmet and strongly advice against it, but its your head at the end of the day.

its not that I don't value my head, I actually need it
. The reason is as you say AutoX the probability of hurting my self are really low, and I know I won't be doing any racing through out the next 12 months and I'm not sure if I will autoX again is this will be my 2nd time (done it once 4 years ago in Saudi) and first time in this car. So don't pay much for something I don't know that I will do again. If I feel that I like this and want to try racing and stuff then yeah I will consider buying something proper. The reason is I searched online and found alot of good priced ones but to order one in such a small period of time isn't possible

Go for the open face its more comfortable to use especially in our climate, I would recommend you to checkout out some of the models online. Recently a friend of mine got a decent helmet for a good price ( sale ) from a German company.
