According to a well-informed user on McLife, indeed we will see a Spider version of this updated car. The theory now is that the 12C as we know it today will not continue to be built, opening up a bit more room (price wise) for the P13 to slot in underneath when it arrives. As the 12C moves up-market a ways with this update it will also lessen the impact on the values of cars already sold.

Yeah that's the HS but that's still beautiful! My favorite edition of the 12C for sure

 

I did say on McLife that they have finally figured out they should reveal their latest and greatest things in Blue! I take full credit.
