Every car has its different purpose. Mclaren did not set out to make it a Ferrari replacement. They set it out to be an alternative with their own ways of doing so, by following Mclarens creed. The F1 looks very simple, it doesn't scream hey look at me from 50 miles away. Neither does the P1, they both are very humble looking. Their performance on the other hand is not humble. I'm more of a Ferrari guy, but I would love to own both.

I was so excited to see what the dash would look like. I love the steering wheel and bigger paddles for the shifter, but the tach I am not a fan of. The display reminds me of a Honda S2000.

Not a fan of the digital, I'm more of seeing needles. Like the F1, RMPs in the middle and the other info off to the side.

^You are once again dreaming..you do not know me enough to know that i love everything MB and hate everything else..if you claim that, then its a proof of your miss knowledge.
So let's put Mercedes aside, as this is a Mclaren P1 thread.
I know that every car has a different purpose, nor did i claim that its supposed to be a Ferrari replacement. And i also know this is their way of doing things, but i do not appreciate their way of doing things when it comes to the interiors, they are to spartan and to ordinary for such expensive vehicles IMO.
And please do not call the P1 humble looking:
There is nothing humble about this:

If anything the Huayra and 918 look more humble (exterior wise).
So if they had to go all radical with the exterior they could have done a better job with the interior..that's all im saying.

As Erik has said repeatedly in the past, to less effect than I would hope, it continues to amaze me how quickly people like to pass judgement on the P1 based on 3 photos that don't always show the best aspects of whichever area of the P1 they're focusing on. We haven't even seen the entire picture yet, yet people are already pretty much condemning the P1's interior. Maybe those who have been lucky enough to attend one of the F150 private previews know what they're talking about, but to me it still seems incredibly presumptuous to declare one car the winner over the other when most of the world hasn't even seen the full picture of both cars yet.
In fact I have it on good authority from a trusted source that these initial photos are only the tip of the iceberg, and that they are far from the best ones. They told me to wait especially until the top view of the dash, and the driver's view of the center console area are revealed. McLaren are holding them back because they're quite special.
Trust me - where P1 is concerned, the best is yet to come.

Excellent post regarding the P1's interior being judged on 3 photos, not to mention the P1 in person looks much better in person than any photo. I have a feeling the F150 Ferrari will look more classically beautiful as Napolis has stated before. The 918 looks great as well.
But I have to say the Zonda was a great looking car, but that Huyara is as ugly as sin, and the interior looks like a European Brothel, I guess that is why some of the guys on here appreciate it over the Bare Carbon Race Car Interior of the P1.

The 918 Spyder has a fabulous interior for example, but not the Huayra!
