Considering the 12C already firmly trounces the 458 Italia before it even received the recent power increase, I'd suggest so.
Numbers are just one factor though and often largely irrelevant when it comes to an emotional purchase like a supercar.

Wait for the full body shots before you say that - I think we will find the 12C Spider has similar buttresses behind the seats. The roof mechanisms on both cars were designed and built by the same company - Webasto.
