Great write up mate! I loved the Mclaren! I think it is so close to the 458 in terms of performance. If I had to bet I'd say that the 458 would have the slightly quicker lap time, and even though I'm a die hard ferrari fan, I dont know which one I'd choose.

Thats a bet i would like to take, dont be taken in by the ferrari press cars, you cant buy one!,even then the comparisons were done with a pre-production car,now it would be a walk in the park

I have driven both on the same track and I can assure you that the 458 is much more nimble and much sharper around the corners.

However, the torque delivery on the Mac is brutal.

I still beg to differ, depends on your view of nimble and sharper, the MC will just drive round the corner due to its superior grip, wereas the 458 will slide round it,it all depends on your point of view which is the quicker.Dont mistake the quick steering rack as being more nimble its not !

I think they got Nipple and Nimble confused!!

Personally, all this mag racing and internet racing doesn't mean anything to me. The only way to really compare the two cars is to have factory drivers of both Marque's drive CUSTOMER() cars on the same track on the same day with the same tires!!

Then the discussion would have some value!
