Total fail by whomever put this article together.
Also, there is no way the F1's successor is going to look like a 12C with F1 design elements tacked on. FAIL²

Just trying to clarify some things. The manufactor HAS NOT confirmed this vehicle to its dealer network. As for the name, MP4 has been around since Ron Dennis took the helm and merged McLaren with Project 4, thus MP4. The 12 is just the rating of the vehicle with McLaren's internal terms, ie Horsepower/Weight/Aerodynamics. C just means Carbonfibre. Technically there has already been a MP4-12 Formula 1 car in 1997. So this new vehicle could be labeled the MP4-27. Either way, I am super excited for this vehcile and have already recieved commitments on it.
