Huge thanks to DJ who arranged the access for this photoshoot for my friend Stephan Bauer. I ended up tagging along to assist with holding the soft box for Stephan's flash and any other help he might need. In the process was able to take some fairly decent shots myself.
I do hope we see Stephan's photos soon too as he has a much better camera than I do and a lot more talent with it in his hands.

BTW: To clarify a few of the points I made based only on my observations that appear in DJ's first post here:
These special wheels are the Optional Super Lightweight wheels in standard sizing, but rather than being polished the face of the spokes have been diamond cut. The barrels and lips of the wheel have been sprayed in a carbon black paint.
The rear exhaust outlets and wing uprights were actually done in black chrome rather than the matte black finish offered with the optional 'Stealth Pack'.
Thanks to AugustWest from McLarenLife for clarifying those two points. I got to speak with the gentleman who put this car together several times but he is also quite entrenched in the world of the McLaren F1 so our conversations always strayed in that direction instead.
...I wonder why?
