A time on full slicks wouldn't be comparable to the 458's time in any case, would it?

Some manufacturers do use slicks in their Nurburgring times *cough* Nissan *cough* but i think it would be comparable.

As a side note, i bet you anything that they were going for the Nurburgring record even if it was a pre-production car.

Too bad they smashed it. I don't know where you guys have heard the ~7 min ring time from, but that would be simply amazing if it could drive that quickly! I'm guessing it'll give the CGT and GTR a run for their money at least.
