i know. Porsche use it too.

this is clearcoat unpolished. btw, this area is where the sensor hides (to open the door). there's no rubberized paint on the MP4. the lower side of the door is protected by clear bra from factory.

Made it down to BH McLaren this afternoon but the white car has already been delivered. I did check a couple of other cars and none of them looked similar in that area under the vent on the door so I just wanted to concede that 20C4S comment was spot on about that car. It shouldn't have that orange peel finish there and was an oversight by the factory.

They were prepping this lovely Fire Black car when I arrived. I didn't notice any issues on that one and it looked great in the sunlight!
