Exclamation Update: No Delay for McLaren MP4-12C in the U.S.

McLaren has announced the US launch of the MP4-12C is on schedule. This directly contradicts earlier reports, which indicated the US launch was going to be delayed because the company has having problems setting up a dealer network. Instead, a McLaren representative said "... if discussions so far are anything to go by, we're not going to be short of people who want to retail the brand for us in the US."

Despite the denial, McLaren confirmed they will not be displaying the MP4-12C at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The company apparently decided it was too early to show a vehicle that won't go on sale until summer 2011. As we have previously reported, the MP4-12C is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces approximately 600 hp and 600 Nm of torque.

how do you guys think this car will sell? To be honest, it`s not that good looking.. But if it performs, and is in the right price range, maybe it will sell.

I don't mind the looks of it, but next to the F1 it looks like a Camry. I bet the car will sell well, can't wait to read road tests.

This car follows a function more then a form. And to some die hards that is all that matters.

My 2 cents; I think this is a very sharp car, and I have no doubts it will be simply amazing.

Give me this over any Italian or German machine any day.

People will buy it for the name... but looks wise it's a disgrace to the name.

We'll have to see on this one.

I am a fan of the looks and the car will sell as a result of the name alone but next to the new Ferrari 458 it does look a bit tame. Given the choice Id have the Ferrari EVERY time......

Not getting the look, however that being said I did not like the Panamera in photos... Then I saw the Black Turbo on 20's with ceramics. Never know until you see it in person
