Spied: 2013 Maserati Quattroporte
The New Maserati Flagship Goes Ice Testing in Northern Sweden

Our Teamspeed spies managed to snap a few new photos of the new Maserati Quattroporte during some testing this morning in Northern Sweden. The new sedan is still wearing very heavy camouflage hiding any hint of the new design but we suspect the look will be more of an evolution then a revolution. Considering the current Quattroporte is one of the best looking sedans on the market, that's quite alright with us.

Power is expected to come from the current 4.7 liter V8 with a few improvements and we expect it to deliver some 475 horsepower mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Time will tell if its enough to give the German power sedans a match.

Hopefully we will catch more prototypes soon with less cladding on and if the rumors are correct we will see this beauty in all its glory at the Paris Car Show later this year.

 

Is it just me or does this car look considerably larger than the current model?

why on earth can`t they finally match the cars power to its sinister sound?
Bimmers,Audis etc sound not even half as great,are not Italian,yet put out almost a hundred more ponies than this one..

Looks like the Panameraport.

 

They can, but then it would be a Ferrari Quattroport.

 

A Maserati boss told a friend of mine that the new QP was going to be at least 20 CM longer (this was nearly a year ago).

I'm pretty sure this is just heavy camo on the back, they won't screw up the beautiful Maserati lines like that. They def won't go for the same model setup as the Panamera.
