Thanks for posting the vid...it looks like a lot of fun. I've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Abarth 500 in the U.S. When you have some time, can you post some pictures of your car and talk a little bit about your ownership experience so far?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi Kelvin, so, let me write something about my car.. Every time i sit in my car i have a big smile, because it's a very fun and lovely car to drive that can make people turn their heads when i pass.. I think the stock Abarth is too soft, i bought it with an ECU upgrade and in 2nd and 3rd gear you have alot of boost with the turbo and it's pretty fast. The suspensions are pretty soft but mine have H&R springs and maybe it's too rigid for driving it in the city, but i like it because it's more sporty. The interior is very cool, here most of the people buys the Abarth in white colour with red livery, mine is the opposite, red with white livery, so the dashboard is red and great to see. In the back seats there's not so much space but you can drive with no problems with 4 people inside. Fuel.... possibly the only negative thing i have found on this car. The fuel tank can fill up to 36 litres if i'm not mistaken and with it i drive for about 340km in the highway and less in the city, but i have to say that i never drive like a granny. The US version will be much much better than the european one, here the standard one has 135hp, with SS package 160hp, mine is about 170-175hp. The american version will have a new turbo and 170hp! If you want to ask me some more things just write and i'll be glad to reply!

Marchettino,
Thanks so much for your detailed answer! Your car looks perfect, and the more I think about the 500, the more I want a Rosso one. I did notice that most Abarths come in white with red decals. I originally saw a Rosso one with black decals that I did not like, so I thought I'd have to consider white + red, but now having seen yours, I'm glad there's an alternative to the red + black.
I test drove the standard 500 sport here, and to be honest, I really really liked it. The only place where I feel it might be a bit frustrating is on freeway on-ramps, but hopefully the Abarth model will solve for some of that. My current daily driver is an 07 Cayman S—I really love it and it's been fantastic so far. I'm not expecting the 500 to be an equivalent experience, but I like the idea of something small, practical, fun, yet efficient while I save up for something potentially equally red.
I can't wait to hear more about the Abarth here in the US. I wonder if reliability will be an issue for U.S. cars.

It sounds so great! Every time i go home i can't stop to do at least a couple of revs before to turn it off, my neighbors aren't so happy.
