They are trying to keep to the styling of the original M1 wheel.

Here is M1 belonging to BMW South Africa that was used in a local magazine photoshoot along with my Z3M ACS.

I think it's cool, Car magazine did a nighttime photoshoot with the mock up when it was unveiled at the Villa d'Este concours. Those pics are amazing.
